  admittedly it 90% crap over there but still they are up to 80k in subscribers.

  over here it's the same half dozen or so that posts something, including myself.

  when i first looked at this site in 2010--i thought it was for still in jw's--so i didnt join. Only when someone i knew on a different forum told me the score that i joined.

  I was really confused as to who was still in--and who was out--so i asked for a show of hands--and got really hammered for asking. Most of those rude shits have long gone.

  In fact i think more have left--or died--than are active now.

  I have zero interest in anything religious--couldnt care less about whats in the bible. I'm on here for the gossip and scandal.

  Christmas, yes or no ?

  i have just started to steep the mincemeat for my mince pies in dark rum .

  christmas is a big deal in my family and circle of friends.

  however among ex jws it's a bit different or so l understand.

  it will be an odd one for me this year. My wife is going home for a month ( Philippines)..to see her family--not been home since 2019. I'm not going.--so no decs or xmassy stuff this year

  "The Truth"

  we all know that jws consider the wt religion to be "the truth" and refer to it as such.. granted, that phrase is used repeatedly in the literature and from the platform.. but it's obvious that much of what the organization used to require jws to teach house-to-house as important truths--even within our own lifetimes--has been abandoned.

  it's been replaced by "new light" and "refined understanding.

  what's meant by "the 1914 generation" is a prime example.. in fact, i think it would be hard to find another religion that has changed so many of its teachings, especially in such a short period of time.. so why do jws still believe their religion to be "the truth"?.

  old news but uncle bruce wanted it dug up.... the guardian.

  22nd july 1985.. man killed in blast.

  at sydney service.. from richard yallop in melbourne.. one man was killed and 70 people were taken to hospital after a bomb exploded yesterday during a jehovah's witnesses service in a kingdom hall in the sydney suburb of lurnea.. the explosion occurred close to the speaker's dais just as mr. david winder, a visiting elder from the sydney suburb of prospect, had begun his address on loyalty to god and the family.

  i wonder if some non-human upright ape might have had that kind of feet that long ago.

  in the us, the 60s and 70s was a great time to be alive except for getting drafted if you wanted to be that age.

  they were music years,  greatest movies, fun, simpler and enjoyable days—also except for the d&ugs.

  as many probably remember, in 2018-2020, multiple kingdom and assembly halls were set on fire in the state of washington, so fbi, atf, local sheriff and arson alarm foundation offered $61,000 in rewards for information leading to arrest of the arsonist.

  the attacks (seven arsons and one shooting) included:.

  march 19, 2018: two arson attacks - one at a tumwater kingdom hall and the second at a kingdom hall on cain road in olympia.

  let me explain :.

  after the creation account of the bible, tribes of people and nations began to form and spread around the land.. god first chose noah and his family to protect them as he destroys all others in the flood.. and he ticks off everyone in babel ?

  and then he favours abraham and his descendants as the nation of israel culminating in the jewish lineage to jesus the son of god.. he has never had any dealings with any other people`s or nation isn`t that some form of favouritism ?
